Movie Review : Njan Prakasan

We are fortunate to see the magic of one of the best combo malayalam movie industry has ever seen , the  Sathyan Anthikad - Sreenivasan combo who has given some iconic movies in past. And this time they are back after 16 long years with a film which finds a place among their best.

The movie says the story of Prakasan , the son of a school teacher, he represents
that typical Malayali youth who is looking to make some easy quick money without
sweating a single drop.

I wont be taking you through the story of the movie as it it will spoil the fun for people who are yet to see the movie.
One major factor which keeps you hooked to this movie is Fahad Fazil who has given an outstanding performance as Prakasan. Even the minute details is safe in the hands of Fahad and its a delight to watch his eyes perform.
It is really heartening to see a bunch of new comers in this movie. And most of them has come out with a great performance. But a special word of appreciation for Devika Sanjay and Anju Kurien .
Veteran S Kumar's camera does a splendid job and you can see the best visuals of Green Kerala in this movie . Shaan Rahman's music and background score goes along with the movie.
You can see the brilliance of the scriptwriter , Sreenivasan in the climax as we feel that there cannot be a better climax for this movie.
If you have not seen this movie , go watch it .. Its a feel good movie ...

Verdict : Watch Fahad Performing in this feel good movie.

Movie Review - Ente Ummante Peru

Ente Ummante Peru - The movie is all about Hameed (Tovino Thomas) who discovers that that being alone in the world is a tough game. Shortly after his dad’s death, Hameed feeling desperately alone decides to tie the knot. With his heart beating a few extra beats for Sainaba ( Couldnt find the actress name ) , Hameed sets out to search for his mother.

And the movie talks about this journey .... Directed by debutant Jose Sebastian and written by Jose Sebastian and Sarath R Nath  is a half baked piece of cake which could have been a yummy piece. The movie can boast about a great array of excellent performers of malayalam cinema. But still I feel its a missed opportunity with artists like Uravashi , Tovino Thomas , Mamukoya , Hareesh Kanaran etc on board.

The narrative falls short of etching the characters to perfection . As a result, you are lost in trying to make an emotional connection with the characters. The movie makes use of minimal background score. And even for the songs, Gopi Sundar's music doesn't stand out.

But one cannot ignore the beautiful frames the cinematographer Jordi Planell Closa has captured , especially during the songs. Songs were visually brilliant though it lacked good music.

Lack of a well written tight script , even the ace artists couldn't deliver their best.

Verdict : Average
